I have been planning this review for months now, but I did not have a lot of time to sit down and take photos of all these lipsticks. I could get it up sooner, but then it wouldn't include lip swatches, and I think that is fairly essential to a post like this. I hope you think it's worth it!
Nicolet Beauty lipsticks have been my favourite of mine for a while now. I was looking for some matte lipsticks that could replace my MAC ones. Although I love them, they are not cruelty free so I want to find something similar. I found Nicolet Beauty on Etsy and since about May, my collection has grown more and more. Here is my collection so far!
The main thing I love about these (other than their terrific formula, I will get to that in a second) is the colour range. Because these are mostly catered towards women of colour, the colour are very unusual. I'm all about that unusual lipstick life so it is a dream come true. Although they were formulated with darker skin colours in mind, they look surprisingly good (I think at least) on my very light skin as well. Here are the shades that I have collected so far: Arcadia, Delano, Lemoore, Lodi, Yorba Linda, Naomi, Ellensue and Anderson.

The formula on these is so nice as well. The ingredients are all natural. They are really matte, which is hard to find in the natural cosmetic-range. Most of those have oils in them which makes them not matte at all, but these are truly matte. Despite being matte, they are very comfortable as well. The pigmentation is great: the swatches above were about 2 swipes (for the shape) but they go on all opaque in one swipe as well.
I do feel like these hold up to MAC standards, honestly. They last the same time, are both comfortable and matte. The biggest difference is the smell: Nicolet Beauty's lipsticks are scentless. Although personally I would prefer a light scent, the positive side is that you can't hate the smell, because it is not there, hehe.
On to the lip swatches!
NOTE: I took some swatches on another day, because some came out not so true to colour. I wanted to show you what they really looked like so that explains that.
NOTE 2: If you see any shine on my lips, that's because I put some lipbalm underneath. Doing so many (matte) lipswatches gets the best of your lips, so moisturising was necessary. They are completely matte in real life and without all that excess lipbalm!
NOTE 3: These pictures where shot in front of a window with a lot of light, so these are actually slightly darker in real life.

And yes, here is where my lips started to look very crappy and shiny from all the lipbalm, so please excuse that.
All in all, I can really recommend checking these out. They are $12 each, but every once in a while she has a coupon code so you can get 20% off. She comes out with new shades about every season as well, so keep an eye out! I do not have all of their shades (yet), so I can redirect you to her Etsy shop! (And dang it, I just saw she has new shades, bu-bye Christmas money!)
I bought all of these myself. I am not affiliated with the brand, I'm not getting paid for this article, I am just a very big fan!
